Patients may assume that once we graduate from dental school, we leave with all the expertise and knowledge we will ever need in our careers. But a great dental professional knows that this isn’t true. In order to provide the best service for our patients, we need to remain up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology in our field.
In order to facilitate the sharing of new knowledge, Dr. Sayed is forming the Motor City Study Club, as well as hosting an evening lecture focusing on gingival recession. We invite fellow dental care professionals around the Birmingham, MI area and beyond to join us for meetings and discussions on improvements in our fields.
In this age of advancing technology, new tips and techniques are constantly being invented and shared among those in the dental community. It can sometimes feel overwhelming to try and understand the constant flow of new knowledge. But by working in a collaborative team environment, club members can discuss pros and cons of new technology and techniques to explore how the art of dentistry can improve patient health.
Our goal with the Motor City Study Club is to provide an educational environment that motivates our colleagues to modernize their techniques and patient care. We want to build a support network in our community that allows our members to collaborate, present case studies, and explore new technology in patient care.
Study club members can also earn up to 25 AGD continuing education credits for the 2016-2017, simply by attending and participating in study club meetings. Participants will also have access to dental experts in various fields, some of whom may be invited to speak and present.
Our first meeting will be on October 6, 2016, and we invite fellow dental professionals to contact us for more information.
On September 27, DENTSPLY Implants will be holding a presentation for dental hygienists at our Pristine Periodontics office, featuring Dr. Abbey Sayed as the main speaker. As the title of the presentation suggests, this presentation will explore the impact of gingival recession on periodontal health and dental implements like implants. However, we want to explore another option for gum restoration outside of pinhole surgery and traditional grafting.
The ADM method is designed to restore gingival tissues in areas of gum recession, without being limited to grafting. This method is an alternative treatment to pinhole treatments and has a proven success rate.
Our goal for this presentation is to educate participants about the following:
This free event will take place from 5:30 pm to 8 pm, and will include a complimentary dinner. Hygienists will also receive 2 hours of continuing education credit by attending.
To register for the event, contact Debbie Kuenzel at 248-901-000 or by email at debbie@pristineperioimplants.com. Space is limited, so contact us right away!
