When you’re missing a full arch of teeth, not only does it affect your appearance, but it can also negatively impact your ability to speak and chew properly. At Pristine Periodontics and Implants, our team of dentists understands that tooth loss can affect more than just your oral health.
Thankfully, implant dentist, Dr. Sayed offers full arch replacements for patients in the northern and western Detroit, MI areas who are missing a majority of their teeth. With our full arch replacements, you’ll achieve a natural-looking smile that also functions just like normal teeth.
Implant-supported dentures, also known as full arch replacements, are a restorative fixture that’s firmly anchored to your jawbone using multiple dental implants. This helps create a strong, long-lasting restoration that’s sure to never come out of place. This treatment is designed to replace a full arch of missing teeth, either in the upper or lower jaws. Our titanium implants will also fuse to your jawbone, acting as a natural tooth root.
Our implant-supported dentures are designed to seamlessly create a natural appearance that blends in with your smile. One of the best features of this treatment is that they require no adhesives, meaning you don’t have to worry about your dentures sliding around your mouth when you eat or speak.
Implant-supported dentures have become one of the most preferred tooth replacement options. They provide patients with a variety of restorative benefits, including:
The first step to receiving your full arch replacements is meeting with Dr. Sayed for an initial consultation. During this time, he’ll check the condition of your gums, teeth, and jawbone. He’ll also conduct a dental examination that includes taking X-rays and impressions of your teeth. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Once Dr. Sayed determines that full arch replacements are for you, he’ll begin crafting your treatment plan.
For your second appointment, we’ll begin the treatment process. We’ll start by placing four to six dental implants into your jawbone, where they’ll naturally bond together through a gradual, natural process known as osseointegration. You’ll leave our office with a temporary denture set while you heal for three to six months. This is to allow a substantial amount of time for your implants to fuse with your jawbone.
Once your teeth have healed, you’ll come back to our office for your final appointment, where Dr. Sayed will place the abutments. This piece connects the dental implants to your customized denture piece. Once we ensure the dentures fit perfectly onto your implants, we’ll permanently secure them into place. That way, you’ll leave our Birmingham office with your new stunning smile.
During your biannual checkup, Dr. Sayed will remove your dentures to clean and examine them to ensure they’re in great condition. Dr. Sayed will inform you when a replacement is needed.
If you’re experiencing any of these issues with your restoration, contact our Birmingham office at (248) 838-1143 or our Canton office at (734) 589-0609 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sayed. Dr. Sayed will conduct an examination of the dentures and determine the next step.
We also recommend that you speak with your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage plan and benefits. If the coverage isn’t enough, we offer flexible financing options so you don’t delay with your new smile.
